INTRODUCTION
THE SEVEN FEASTS OF GOD
We read about the seven feasts of God in Leviticus 23 and in verse one He says “These are MY appointed festivals, the appointed festivals of the LORD…”
God appointed three feast seasons with seven individual feasts and scheduled them on an annual calendar to portray and represent three major encounters between Him and His covenant keeping people (believers in Jesus called Yeshua. Jesus’ Hebrew name Yeshua means SALVATION). The three major encounters with God have the purpose to teach believers about His divine peace, His power and His rest in their lives. Taken together they represent SEVEN STEPS in a believer’s walk with God.
In the picture of the MENORAH (golden candlestick) the SEVEN FEASTS are graphically depicted with pictures as described in the Old Testament as well as how it has been fulfillment by Jesus (Yeshua) in the New Testament.
The THREE FEAST SEASONS and what each represents are the following:
FEAST SEASON ONE teaches us about the DIVINE PEACE OF GOD and consist of THREE FEASTS:
- Passover (Celebrated March/April)
- Unleavened bread (Celebrated March/April)
- First Fruits (Celebrated March/April)
FEAST SEASON TWO teaches us about the DIVINE POWER OF GOD and consists of ONE FEASTS:
- Pentecost (Celebrated May/June)
FEAST SEASON THREE teaches us about the DIVINE REST OF GOD and consist of THREE FEASTS:
- Trumpets (Celebrated September/ October)
- Atonement (Celebrated September/ October)
- Tabernacles (Celebrated September/ October)
